Join and learn to roller ski - it's great for fitness and fun, plus it's the best way to prepare for cross country skiing. There are sessions for children as well as tasters, courses, coaching and general training/practice sessions for adults. We also organise roller ski races. And you can cross country ski with us. As the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang draw ever-closer, interest around the many sports involved begins to spark. Cross-country skiing One of the sports that is becoming increasingly popular from the Winter Games is cross-country skiing
Congratulations to Frank Kelly [RAF], Jordan Andrews and Patrick Rodwell [both Hyde Park] for taking the first three places in the Men's race, with Steve Perry [RAF] in 4th place and first in the Master's category. Winners of the Women's race were Ragnhild Camilla Schreiner [Hyde Park], Beth Ireland {LRNSC] and Sophie Townend [RAF] with Ulrike Rosedale first in the Master's category. After a slight technical hitch, results of Saturday's 4 hour roller ski race are now available.
For the first time it was a Polish 1-2-3 in the senior men's race with Jacek Staron in first place while Fern Cates was first senior female and joint 3rd in the overall race.
The event was held in probably the windiest conditions ever with gusts challenging everyone's balance so congratulations go to everyone who took part!
This popular event on the Club calendar will take place at the Brasserie Blanc on the Southbank on Saturday 18 November. Join us for a lovely, sociable evening over dinner and catch up with other Club members. Find out more about the event and make sure you sign up before 1 November deadline.
Want to learn to roller ski? It builds fitness and cross country skiing skills - you can enjoy roller skiing in the UK or take your skills onto snow for the ultimate winter experience.
You can dive straight in on our next beginners' roller ski course starting Sunday 8 October or try it out at a taster on Sunday 5 November - we've added an extra session in the afternoon.

Our next roller ski races are the 4 hour event on 21 October at Hillingdon Cycle Circuit and the London Region Classic on 11 November at the Olympic park. You can enter online. See you there!
