Sunday 16th August 2026 - Go Skate Castle Combe

Looking for the chance to roller ski somewhere different in the countryside, or to test yourself in a marathon race? Go Skate at Castle Combe circuit in Wiltshire ticks both these boxes.

It’s a regular event for inline skaters, quad skaters and skateboarders, and this year it’s been opened up to roller skiers too.  It takes place on the motor racing circuit, so closed roads and a very smooth surface.  Can LRNSC make its mark at this event – tell us if you’re interested in going along and we can co-ordinate meeting up.

You can take part just for fun as a social skier without timing, or if you’re feeling sporty enter the marathon – you’ll have up to 6 hours to complete it, so all levels of skier can join the challenge.  There will be prizes for fastest male & female roller skiers [as well as the other categories]and a certificate for everyone who finishes within the time.  There may also be prizes for the fastest single laps

According to a previous participant, last year’s event was very well organised and great fun, with many people taking part in fancy dress (so feel free to dress up too – there will be prizes for best fancy dress).
