17/9 LRNSC 2023 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Invitation

All current members of LRNSC are invited to the Club's Annual General Meeting on Sunday 17 September.

The AGM will take place in person from 10:00-12:00 at the club house at Hillingdon Cycle Circuit, 11-12 Springfield Road, Hayes UB4 0LP,  and online via Zoom.  Light refreshments will be available afterwards and there will be roller skiing and walking activities from 13:00.  Please register to attend by 19:00 on 12 September.

Please note that any LRNSC member may submit a motion for the AGM by emailing the Chair at: aapinney@ntlworld.com no later than 19:00 on Saturday 19 August.  Such a motion must be seconded, either in writing by email to the Chair or from the floor of the meeting.

Committee vacancies - can you help please?

If you enjoy the Club's activities, could you give a little of your valuable time in return and help to run it?  The following committee positions are vacant, and we would love to have members volunteer and fill them:

Secretary
Roller ski racing
Entertainment/events [non roller & cross country ski activities]
Officer without portfolio

How to participate in the AGM

To participate either in person or online, please click on the button below to register by 19:00 on Tuesday 12 September.
NB Only current Club members are eligible to attend and vote at the AGM.

What happens after you register

  • Everyone who registers will be sent an email confirming their registration.
  • The Agenda will be emailed to all members by 3 September.
  • By 14 September everyone who has registered will be emailed the meeting documents [agenda, accounts, committee members' reports and 2022 minutes] together with the meeting procedures and, for online participants, instructions on how to join the meeting.   
  • In parallel, the meeting documents will also be available on the Club website.

Post AGM roller skiing and walking

After the AGM finishes there'll be time for people to grab a coffee or tea, and eat lunch [you'll need to bring your own] before the afternoon activities:
Roller skiing
13:00-15:00 Beginners learn to roller ski course week 1 [classic]
13:00-15:00 Intermediates coaching [classic]
13:00-16:30 Individual training and practice
15:30-16:30 2 x 2 lap classic team race, one male, one female teams, ability handicap [open to participants of any of the above]

Walking
13:00-15:00 approx for non-roller skiers, Lynn Peace and Martin Read will be organising an easy local walk of around 5-6 miles giving you a chance for a chat as you discover the local area and enjoy a canalside stroll.

The AGM is your opportunity to find out what's happening with the Club and give your views - we need to hear from our newer active members as well as our long-standing loyal supporters.
