Saturday 9 December - Mince pie roller ski tour in Richmond Park
4.30pm Saturday 9 December
Come on a twilight roller ski tour of Richmond Park
Every year in December Club roller skiers meet at Richmond Park for a tour of the park by torchlight. It's a relaxed and informal event which provides a good opportunity to meet other members. The roads close to traffic at dusk and so at 4.30pm we start outside Sheen Gate for a circular tour of the park, a distance of about 7.5 miles.
With no traffic to worry about and plenty of space we take a leisurely pace. We stop regularly to regroup with a break halfway to enjoy mince pies and gluhwein at one of the park's viewpoints.
The tour is usually over by about 6.30pm. Afterwards there is the option of a trip to a local Indian restaurant.
