Researching possible Club cross country ski trip to Queyras, France January 2026
I am researching a Club trip to the Queyras region of the Southern French Alps for mid to end of January 2026. It would be a bespoke skiing trip to explore a different domain each day, with our own minibus transport and local guides/instructors, provided by Undiscovered Mountains, who have 20 years’ experience of delivering trips in this area.
There will be a programme of options to suit a variety of skiers with sessions to choose from each day. These could include:
- skills and technique training
- leisure tours in either skating or classic disciplines
- skiing to a mountain refuge
- biathlon with instruction from a former French team coach
The accommodation is a choice of a dormitory type centre or a 2 star hotel, both within a short walk of each other and the village of Guillestre, the gateway to the Queyras mountains ranges.
The area has been chosen for its altitude of between 1500 and 2500 metres, and thankfully at that height, the snow is assured. With a variety of villages to choose from, we have the choice of the best location each day for the snow and weather conditions.
A description of the domains, accommodation and suggested itinerary can be seen here.
A video of Crevoux is here.
And a description of all domains is on the Nordic Alpes du Sud website.
In order for me to gauge the likely interest and aid future planning, it would be really helpful if you could please complete this very short questionnaire by 31st January 2025.
