Where we roller ski - Club sessions

Directions and maps to places where we hold events.  See Transport for London's website for information about getting to London venues by public transport.

Hillingdon Cycle Circuit - our main base in west London

Springfield Road, Hayes, Middlesex UB4 0LP

See location map on the Circuit's website.

Springfield Road runs parallel to the A312 Hayes By-pass linking Junction 3 on the M4 Motorway and the A40/M40. Parking is available inside and outside the circuit .

The cycle circuit shares an entrance with the Goals centre.  Continue straight on under barrier to the club house and storage huts by track, you can park on this entrance road.

If the approach road to the Circuit is full, please use the Minet Lodge Country Park car park.  You can see Google maps.  The entrance is further along Springfield Road on the right hand side at the bend in the road.  [The Goals car park is no longer available to circuit users.]

Please do not leave anything of value on display wherever you park.

Public transport: nearest stations are Southall or Hayes & Harlington [both Elizabeth line], then bus - see TFL's Journey Planner for more details.

Meeting place: At the club house by the cycle track.

Session times:  You can see the session times on the Circuit's website.  If we've booked the morning session, usually our events begin at 1000 and the Clubhouse will be opened around 0945.  When we just book the afternoon session we open or have access to the Clubhouse and circuit from 1300.  To check if the circuit is available at other times see the circuit calendar.

We book this venue and club house for our courses so there's somewhere to change, leave your kit and meet  Club members over a cup of tea or coffee.

Cambridge Busway - coaching and tours

We use the wide cycle path that runs alongside the guided Busway.  It connects St Ives with the north of Cambridge and Cambridge Rail Station with Trumpington Park and Ride and Addenbrookes Hospital.  There is tarmac over its entire length and it is used by pedestrians, cyclists, roller skiers/bladers and horse riders (St Ives to Milton Road, Cambridge only).

Club activities: regular coaching, formal and informal tours - find out more.

  • Coached sessions and informal tours start Longstanton Park & Ride (free parking). The postcode is CB24 3BS. There’s a waiting room which has seating, toilets and vending machines.
  • Formal Club tours start at St Ives Park & Ride.

Getting to Longstanton or St Ives:

  • From Cambridge, catch the Busway bus – see timetables.
  • Outside of Cambridge, the easiest way is to arrive at Cambridge North by train and catch the Busway bus from there (Route B, the bus journey takes about 10 minutes). The bus stop is directly outside the train station.

You can also put your skis on outside the Cambridge North station and ski to Longstanton (11 km).

If you're driving use Google maps.  NB If coming from the west (i.e. along the A428), there’s no easy way to get onto the M11/A14 going north. The trick, therefore, is to turn off the A428 and go to Dry Drayton, where signposts to Longstanton can be picked up.
